It isn't Halloween if I don't post the blood fountain that we made for Danny Devito's Halloween party a few years ago! This was a collaboration between @nickbonamy and myself! Always special thanks to Ervina for letting us body cast you! I think I have some video of this, I'll try to post that later today. By the way, it was an epoxy casting directly out of a body double mold, and re sculpted /patched with freeform sculpt. (All @smoothon materials)
Here is my tribute makeup (on my pal @chucklines) of Roy Ashton's design on Peter Cushing in the 1972 "Tales from the Crypt" as Arthur Grimsdyke. One of the coolest "zombie" designs. Last Week Rick Baker posted one that he recently did, and it's soooooo effing good! Go check out his twitter feed. Makes me want to re-do mine, and make it better! Rick is so inspiring, even in retirement!
More. Litch-ie goodness! New video on Tested.com where I get to walk through the process of making this (more in-depth videos to come). And most importantly, I give a shout-out to all the rad people that helped on this project at my shop (@thingergy_inc )! If you're at SDCC, check out @blizzard Ice Cream Citadel with the Lich King! It's part of the new @playhearthstone expansion! . . Amazing photos by @normchan !
Yay! When it rains, it pours… And apparently zombie flicks are popular again. Bidding on multiple zombie films, on top of the usual E3 and PAX video game season, and the probable Immortal masks flood after Transworld. Reason #85468 why I'm glad I got a bigger shop. Oh, and this is a makeup I did on @jeusty as a demo a few years ago for @iwatamedea at their booth at IMATS.
On our latest episode of the Creature Geek podcast, we talk with Joel Harlow (@chickenfist ), and he talks about the last time he applied foam latex might have been back on Pirates of the Caribbean 2&3. Well, here is a makeup that he designed and sculpted, then I molded, and amazingly got the opportunity to apply every day on set! Cheers for setting me up with such an awesome design Joel! Check out the podcast and hear what else he has to say! Yes, this is foam latex, and a full face appliance with fake teeth.
